Born in the shadow of the first Old Stubborn, the rye bourbon release had a lot to live up to. A little sibling rivalry was all it took to have this release pushing itself to deliver big. And boy howdy, it’s no slouch.

In the spirit of kinship - this release was magically identical in proof to the first, 123.8. It could not have been planned. Like its sibling, it is a hand marriage of 11 barrels, this time comprising of 10, 11, and 12 years, producing just over 1,400 bottles. It has the namesake complexity and long finish you have come to expect.

  • The first batch is a marriage of 10, 11 and 12 year rye based pot-stilled non-chill filtered bourbon. There are 11 barrels married in almost even age proportions. It’s released with minimal filtration to allow the natural oils to impart a superior mouthfeel at 123.8 proof.

  • We have begun selecting barrels for a fall/winter release that will be something new. We are taking a little time dress up the package some.. keep your eyes open for our advanced notices.

  • Old Stubborn second release was available to be shipped across most of the US by Seelbach's, The Bourbon Concierge, and Shared Pour as well as in Northern Kentucky at Revival Vintage Bottle Shop, the Party Source and other fine institutions.
